  • Meet in public places with plenty of people around (shopping malls, coffee shops)
  • Consider using official safe exchange zones at police stations when available
  • Never invite strangers to your home or go to theirs
  • Meet during daylight hours whenever possible
  • Tell a friend or family member where you're going and when
  • Consider sharing your location with a trusted person during the meeting

  • Don't share personal details like your home address or daily routine
  • Be extra cautious when buying/selling high-value items
  • Inspect items carefully before completing the transaction
  • Have your phone readily accessible in case of emergency
  • Consider using cash for in-person transactions to avoid sharing payment details

  • Report messages that request financial information or contain threats

  • Save all messages as documentation in case a dispute arises

Reporting Problems

When to Report an Issue

If you encounter any of the following situations, report them immediately to our Trust & Safety team:

  • Suspected fraudulent listings or scam attempts
  • Users attempting to move transactions off the platform
  • Threatening or harassing messages
  • Listings that violate our marketplace guidelines
  • Suspicious account activity
  • Items received that are significantly different from their description
  • Security vulnerabilities or privacy concerns
